Visa - Aust passport (11th Mar 10 at 12:51am UTC)
Hi all,

This question may be a bit silly.. Are Australian passport holders required to apply a Schengen visa? Or is this just an automatic agreement visa if your staying 90days or less?

And, if i'm flying from one country to another which takes part in the schengen agreement; does this mean check-in time at airports will be same as domestic check-in (e.g 1hr)?

thanks
shez

To the best of my knowledge no as an Australian passport holder (if your staying 6 weeks or less...dont quote me but i think its only 60 days or less) then you dont need to have a visa. I'm about 99% sure in most cases you wont need a visa, just not sure what the max stay would be. I'm using my british passport, only because I'm hoping to find a job after my tour.

Check http://smartraveller.gov.au and you'll see that you can get a Visa on arrival for EU/Schengen countries, as long as your total time is less than 90 days.
