Hey everyone,

I’m heading on a Europe trip this may, staying in tents.

I’m just wondering as this is my 1st time how cold it gets at night. My friend told me I would be 2hot in a sleeping bag but I don’t want to listen to her and end up blue from the cold. I’m going from France, Swiss Alps down to Rome.

Any help you could give me would be great.

When I was in France and Switzerland for the beginning of my tour last year in May it was VERY cold at night - especially in Switzerland (less than 5 degrees). I had a summer weight sleeping bag and was shivering all night long even with all my clothes and socks piled on. I ended up buying a fleece sleeping bag liner in Switzerland and it was a lifesaver for the colder nights.

My advice would be to bring a summer sleeping bag for the warm nights and also a liner that you can use whenever it is cold. Whatever you choose to do make sure you bring a sleeping bag!

Hope this helps

it does thank you
